What information do we collect about you when you use this website?

We collect information about you when you submit it to us. This may be when you submit an enquiry via one of our webforms, ask to subscribe to our newsletters or contact us directly.

How will we use the information we collect?

We will use the information for contractual and legitimate interest reasons:

  • to respond to your enquiry and to provide our Terms of Business to engage us as a client

We may also use your site usage information to improve our website, understand how you use our site, and provide more relevant content to you. We may also use your site usage information gathered by the Facebook Pixel to develop relevant and targeted adverts on Facebook.

Loch Law – Receiving Your Data from Third Parties

In order for Loch Law to perform its contracts with clients, personal information about other persons may be provided to it (e.g. personal information relating to, without limitation, any of its corporate clients’ or prospective clients’ candidates, current or ex employees, workers, consultants or similar, any litigation opponent or vendor or purchaser personal information including personal information relating to their legal advisors or current to or ex employees, workers, consultants as relevant or similar).

If you are an individual whose personal information may be processed by Loch Law as a result of performing its contracts with clients, or to explore a prospective client relationship, it will process a variety of different personal information depending on the contract terms with its clients.

Loch Law may for example process the following personal data about you. (This is a non-exhaustive list which is reflective of the varied nature of the personal information processed as part of the law firm, Loch Law, providing legal services):

  • Names, contact details, pay details, absence records, performance details, qualifications, employment history, ethnicity, special category data, criminal offence data.

Please note that Loch Law does not have to provide information to you about how it processes your personal information when it does so as a result of performing its contracts with clients. Loch Law does so, however, because it believes in being as transparent as possible about its data privacy practices and it wants you to be able to understand how it may process your personal data. Your resultant rights are set out above. (Please note that these rights are subject to certain exemptions which may be applicable to any request you make.)
